Accessibility Tester
eTeam is focused on enhancing digital accessibility and usability for all users. The Accessibility Tester is responsible for evaluating digital content and applications to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and recommending solutions to enhance usability for people of all abilities.

Responsibilities
Accessibility Evaluation: Assess websites, web applications, mobile apps, and digital documents for compliance with WCAG 2.1 (or latest version), Section 508, ADA, and other applicable standards
Tool-Based Testing: Utilize popular accessibility testing tools (such as Axe, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Lighthouse, etc.) to analyze digital interfaces for accessibility issues
Manual Testing: Perform manual testing using keyboard navigation, screen readers, and other assistive technologies to identify issues not captured by automated tools
Issue Reporting: Document accessibility issues clearly with detailed steps to reproduce, relevant WCAG success criteria references, and suggested remediation approaches
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, UX/UI designers, content creators, and QA teams to integrate accessibility into the development lifecycle, provide feedback, and validate fixes
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest WCAG updates, accessibility laws, trends, and emerging assistive technologies
User Testing Support: Support testing activities involving users with disabilities, if applicable, by preparing scenarios or facilitating user testing sessions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using automated and manual accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Lighthouse, etc.)
Strong understanding and working knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and related statutory requirements
Experience interpreting technical accessibility requirements and translating them into practical test cases and remediation advice
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA attributes as they relate to accessibility
Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to convey complex accessibility findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for inclusive design and usability
Preferred
IAAP certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS) or equivalent accessibility training
DHS Trusted Tester Certification
Experience working within agile software development environments
Basic knowledge of usability and user experience principles as applied to accessibility
