Responsibilities

Contribute to work that drives real results
Work with experienced team members to help upgrade and enhance legacy C# web applications and APIs, moving them from .NET Framework to modern .NET (.NET Core 10)
Gain exposure to modern web and API architectures, learn how legacy systems are evaluated and refactored, and contribute code that is deployed and used by internal teams and external partners
Build practical experience with source control, code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-ready application design
Participate in a one-week orientation to kick start your program
Share your successes with executives and leadership team during the Capstone Presentation at the end of the internship
Learn and shadow the inner workings of your specific department and how your team contributes to the overall success of Builders Mutual
Receive regular feedback from your manager and participate in career-related discussions
Contribute to the community with summer volunteer projects
Participate in weekly professional development sessions, individual assessments, and leadership roundtable discussions to build your career toolbox
Connect with industry experts, leaders, and your assigned new grad buddy to build your professional network
Qualification
Required
Ability to commit for 10 weeks during the Summer of 2026, working 37.5 hours per week (May 18th – July 24th)
Current Junior working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Coursework or hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTTP, APIs, client/server architecture)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively in a team environment
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working with existing codebases
Strong ability to stay organized, set priorities, and estimate effort
Preferred
Familiarity with C# and the .NET ecosystem through coursework, projects, or internships is a plus
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery is a plus
Exposure to source control (Git) and collaborative development practices is a plus
