Responsibilities

Lead the Department Resource Oversight and Financial Performance Section
Oversee Franchise Tax Board (FTB)'s spending plan and enterprise financial performance functions
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize and ensure the use of FTB’s full budget authority
Participate in governance bodies, steering committees, enterprise teams, and external work groups
Partner with stakeholders to understand fiscal environment, stakeholder needs and concerns, and potential impacts to the department, programs, and policies

Required

Ability to establish and use performance measurements to evaluate program performance and effectiveness and continually improve processes and/or products
Monitors work trends to identify potential issues that may impact resources, staffing, allocation of funds or departmental programs, policies and procedures and recommends any necessary modifications
Knowledge of the organization and operation of Department programs and how they relate and support other programs administered by the Department
Knowledge of governmental budget and accounting principles, practices and procedures
Clear and effective communication skills with all levels of management across the organization
