Responsibilities

Capture, analyze, and decompose customer and regulatory requirements into system-level specifications
Develop and maintain requirements using industry-standard tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jama)
Define system architecture and allocate requirements to hardware, software, and mechanical domains
Lead cross-functional reviews to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with vehicle programs
Manage requirement traceability from concept through production
Support system integration activities and resolve interface issues across cabin subsystems
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with OEM performance and quality standards
Participate in verification and validation planning, including DVP&R development
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards (FMVSS, NHTSA, ISO where applicable)
Drive issue resolution using structured problem-solving methods

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
Typically 3–8+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering or requirements engineering
Experience working within an OEM or Tier-1 supplier environment
Strong understanding of systems engineering processes (V-model)
Experience with requirement management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama, etc.)
Familiarity with vehicle electrical architectures and communication protocols (CAN/LIN preferred)
Knowledge of automotive development lifecycle from concept to launch

Preferred

Master's degree in Systems or Automotive Engineering
Experience with visibility, interior, cockpit, or human factors engineering
Knowledge of functional safety concepts or regulatory compliance
Exposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Understanding of validation methods and test planning
