Responsibilities
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery related to the unloading, loading, transfer, and storage of cargo including conveying equipment, pulleys, gearboxes, drag conveyors, structures, hydraulics, ship loader, stacker reclaimer, and various support equipment
Read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, build prints, and follow engineering drawings
Utilize precision measuring devices both metric and standard including gauges, displays, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, alignment tools, levels, and torque tools
Communicate thoughts and ideas effectively in both verbal and written forms
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude in structures, leverage, metallurgy, fasteners, rotating assemblies, gears, and material strength
Operate hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, chain hoists, presses, metal saws, cranes, and rigging equipment
Utilize heavy equipment including Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, and Manitowoc
Respond to call-outs and work all shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Manual or laser alignment skills
Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery related to the unloading, loading, transfer, and storage of cargo including conveying equipment, pulleys, gearboxes, drag conveyors, structures, hydraulics, ship loader, stacker reclaimer, and various support equipment
