Vacuum Furnace Technician
MD&A is seeking an experienced Vacuum Furnace Technician to join their San Antonio Service Center. The role involves performing heat treatment of gas turbine components while maintaining strict quality standards and ensuring equipment accuracy and up-time.

Responsibilities
Undergo Vacuum Furnace Technician training and pass the required testing requirements
Understand AMS 2750 and MCL F40 Specifications
Understand heat treatment theory
Verify, schedule, and ensure that all associated Preventive Maintenance is completed on time
Perform System Accuracy Tests and Temperature Uniformity Surveys
Process heat treatment of various gas turbine components through different types of vacuum furnace runs
Maintain strict quality requirements on documentation
Embrace a pride of ownership mentality towards all tasks that are assigned to you
Assist other work areas, as needed, to meet company goals & requirements
Work with Engineering to identify and resolve any issues that arise
Support EH&S, Cost Reduction, and Process Improvement activities and initiatives
Perform other associated tasks assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of experience
Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and the required overtime
Basic knowledge of vacuum furnace systems is a plus but not required
Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel); good oral and written communication skills
Familiar with power generation equipment overhaul processes and techniques
Strong work ethic that includes a Can-Do attitude 100% of the time
Willingness to grow and learn to become a key individual within the vacuum furnace area team
