Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

Perform manufacturing, filling, labeling, packing, and shipping activities according to SOPs
Execute aseptic techniques using laminar flow workstations
Operate standard and automated production equipment (pipettes, dispensers, auto-cappers, labelers)
Perform calculations, material measurements, and batch record documentation
Handle and dispose of biological and chemical materials following safety procedures
Conduct routine lab maintenance, housekeeping, and inventory stocking
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO 13485, MDSAP, IVDR, OSHA, EPA, and internal Quality Systems
Accurately complete batch records, logs, and controlled documents
Report deviations and participate in CAPA, deviation, and production failure investigations
Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives (6S / Lean)
Perform ERP and SAP transactions (including C060, QE51N, COHVPI, MMBE, QA33, COR6N, COR3)
Review Bills of Material and verify ERP data against physical inventory
Support planning activities using SAP and advanced Excel spreadsheets
Assist with label printing, redlining documents, and deviation resolution
Support training and assist other technicians with advanced SAP tasks
Collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams
Train associates and support onboarding activities
Attend and actively participate in meetings and OMS/DMS boards
Communicate professionally via email and verbal updates

Required

Bachelor's degree (no experience required)
Associate degree acceptable
High School Diploma / GED with 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience
Experience with SAP, SAP NEXT, or other ERP systems
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and laboratory safety practices
Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft 365, and Excel (formulas, conditional formatting)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to accurately complete batch records and documentation
Basic math skills and understanding of the metric system
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines

Preferred

Prior laboratory equipment experience strongly preferred
Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments preferred
Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated industries preferred
