Application Analyst

The Information Services Lead is responsible for overseeing application support, managing complex projects, and ensuring seamless integration of healthcare applications to improve clinical and operational workflows.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison during all phases of application implementation, including build, configuration, testing, and go-live support
Oversee incident, problem, request, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to clinical operations
Provide expert-level application support, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing system performance to meet organizational needs
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including process maps, workflows, and configuration plans, and communicate project status effectively to stakeholders at all levels
Mentor team members, facilitate cross-training, and promote best practices
Coordinate work assignments, monitor deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met
Identify potential conflicts or roadblocks, working proactively with leadership to resolve issues and keep projects on track
Build strong relationships with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
Manage complex projects from initiation to completion, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring deliverables align with organizational goals
Lead focus area workgroups, facilitate communication between application teams, and serve as a subject matter expert on Epic modules and healthcare workflows
Stay informed of system updates, new features, and industry trends to continually enhance system capabilities and efficiency
Collaborate with application development and compliance teams to design, test, and implement system processes that adhere to policies and regulations
Prepare comprehensive status reports, escalate issues appropriately, and participate in strategic planning to improve clinical and operational outcomes
Travel may be required for project implementation or vendor coordination, and additional hours may be necessary during critical incidents or system upgrades
Qualification
Required
Candidates should possess an associate's or bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or information systems
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting healthcare or business information systems is required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to foster effective team collaboration and stakeholder relationships
Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects, develop new functionalities, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams is critical
Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare regulations, and system configurations will be advantageous
Preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Project management experience of at least 2 years or equivalent is highly desirable
Certification in relevant Epic modules or other healthcare IT certifications is preferred
