They are seeking an experienced Plant Systems Application Engineer to monitor and maintain software supporting plant operations, collaborating with colleagues and vendors to enhance applications and ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Administer applications that support plant operations such as control of work, electronic rounds, and safety/environmental applications
Ensure effective user role provisioning following the principles of least privileged access
Identify process gaps by effectively collaborating with operations, taking ownership to ensure effective solutions
Capture requirements for enhancements or new developments and translate them into technical specifications
Support Unit testing, Regression testing & User Acceptance testing and ensure the Test results are well-documented
Coordinate all vendor activities for application version enhancements, patches, etc. and ensure compliance to company patching policies
Participate in Master data governance and ensure master data is aligned across related applications
Monitor & govern integrations across assigned applications
Responsible to resolve incidents and problems for assigned applications, adhering to company SLA’s
Oversee changes to applications, following company change management procedures
Provide technical insights and recommendations to ensure that applications are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the organization’s long-term goals
Ensure strong security and confidentiality practices with systems that handle sensitive data
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of application architectures, configurations, and processes
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred or commensurate work experience
Minimum 2-5 years of IT Application experience preferably in Oil & Gas industry, strong technical knowledge of tools and technologies used in Plant Operations
Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases, with SQL knowledge preferred
Experience supporting multiple applications
Strong organizational and collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
