Responsibilities
Assist Senior Electricians in preparing cable runs and installations
Transport tools and materials to and within work sites
Maintain safe and clean work areas aboard Navy ships
Learn to read electrical drawings and diagrams
Develop skills in clean and efficient wiring in cabinets
Properly route cables throughout cableways using calibrated tools
Inventory received materials
Assist with drilling, cutting, and modifying shipboard items
Qualification
Required
Experience pulling and routing cable in shipboard environments (6–12+ months minimum)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from Senior electricians
Basic knowledge of hand tools and electrical equipment
U.S. Citizenship (required for shipyard/base access)
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance and base access
Preferred
Ability to read basic shipboard drawings/diagrams (willing to train)
Capable of working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and lifting 50 lbs
Willingness to use calibrated tools (multi-meters, meggers) under supervision
