Responsibilities

Lead strategic business development initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities aligned to DENSO’s New Business Development priorities
Develop go-to-market strategies and commercialization plans for new solutions, including customer targeting, pricing strategy inputs, and partnership models
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key external stakeholders to expand DENSO’s business network and accelerate adoption of new offerings
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies; translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership
Support creation of business cases, financial models, and investment rationales for new market entry, partnership, or expansion opportunities
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, sales, legal, and finance teams to move opportunities from concept to implementation
Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, ensuring milestones, risks, and priorities are tracked and communicated effectively
Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting on pipeline development, strategic initiatives, and commercialization progress
Represent DENSO at relevant industry events, partner meetings, and external forums to strengthen brand presence and support business growth
Serve as a resource and mentor to team members by sharing best practices and supporting the development of less experienced associates

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategy, product commercialization, or new business creation
7+ years direct experience in fleet management, fleet technology, telematics, mobility services, or adjacent enterprise mobility domains
Proven track record of taking new offerings from concept or pilot stage to scaled commercial revenue
Experience working within a large, complex organization (e.g., Tier 1 supplier, OEM, industrial technology company, or enterprise SaaS/hardware-enabled business)
Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and executive leadership
North America market experience required; global exposure is a plus
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
Executive-level communication and presentation skills
Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
Strong analytical and business acumen
Ability to translate complex technical or operational topics into clear business recommendations
Collaboration and relationship-building across diverse teams
Proficiency with standard business and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)

Preferred

Experience engaging enterprise and/or public-sector customers is strongly preferred
