Facility Maintenance Technician

They are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations and safety of their manufacturing and R&D facilities, focusing on maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems.

Responsibilities
Perform routine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, safety systems, and general facility infrastructure
Respond to facility alarms, work orders, and maintenance requests under established procedures
Assist with operating and maintaining utilities that support manufacturing and R&D equipment
Support installation and basic commissioning activities for new equipment and facility upgrades under direction
Monitor building systems and report abnormal conditions, safety concerns, or recurring issues
Work with vendors and contractors during service visits and follow site procedures
Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule
Maintain accurate work records and equipment history using the CMMS
Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other technicians and share practical knowledge when needed
Qualification
Required
Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus
2–4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical trades, or building systems
Mechanical aptitude with interest in learning electrical, HVAC, and controls systems
Ability to read equipment manuals, procedures, and basic technical drawings
Ability to troubleshoot routine issues using established processes
Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks and asking for support when needed
Basic computer skills for work orders, documentation, and system tracking
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied indoor and outdoor environments
Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
Preferred
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, or high-reliability environments
Familiarity with cleanroom or controlled facility systems
Trade certifications or licenses (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
Experience using lifts or material handling equipment
