The role involves leading various structural projects related to transportation, providing senior-level expertise, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of design work.

Responsibilities
Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload
Provide Senior level structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates
Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
Serve as liaison between client and firm
Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering
Twenty (20) or more years of bridge design experience
Excellent communication skills including proposal development
Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina
Preferred
Masters degree in Structural Engineering
Experience with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and local municipalities
