Responsibilities

Own pricing strategy for a dedicated stop loss program (specific & aggregate)
Lead, coach, and mentor underwriters to drive consistent performance and quality
Review large claims data and guide risk assessment decisions
Partner with sales, program leaders, brokers, and TPAs to support growth initiatives
Actively participate in sales strategy and client consultations
Make independent underwriting decisions within authority; escalate and recommend exceptions when needed
Balance workloads and ensure timely, high-quality underwriting output
Identify key medical cost drivers in new and renewal business
Support underwriting policy development and audit compliance
Maintain a profitable, well-managed block of business
