Responsibilities
Develop, design, and support data models, Power BI analytics, and SSRS reporting for Maintenance and Operations customers in the mining sector
Build and maintain high-quality Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports that are intuitive, performant, and widely adopted
Design and maintain dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) to support analytics and reporting
Implement and manage reusable measures and KPIs using DAX and SQL, ensuring metric consistency and data quality
Translate business requirements into effective data solutions by collaborating closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data platform teams
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to investigate trends, exceptions, and performance drivers, providing actionable insights and recommendations
Support and optimize SSRS reporting solutions and Power BI dashboards for performance and scalability
Collaborate with data engineers, DBAs, and platform teams to align data sources, models, and ensure effective use of curated datasets (including Azure Databricks)
Create and maintain documentation for data products, models, and analytics assets
Promote best practices in dimensional modeling, KPI design, and analytics engineering
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant experience
Strong experience in BI data modeling, analytics, and reporting—especially with large, unstructured datasets
Advanced SQL skills and hands-on Power BI development (datasets, semantic models, dashboards)
Working knowledge of Azure Databricks in BI/analytics contexts
Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics best practices
Strong collaborative, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Prior experience in large-scale/industrial or mining maintenance environments preferred
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and SAP data platforms is a plus
