Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design, develop, and test automated production machinery
Develop and construct test equipment to validate new manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot and repair instrument & control failures
Create electrical diagrams and control circuits suitable for maintenance & service personnel
Train and mentor junior technicians and interns in automation design
Qualification
Required
Associates of Applied Science or higher degree, successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, or equivalent formal military training
5+ years' post-educational experience in the design and construction of control circuits and control panels
Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and automated systems
Proficiency with relevant design software
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred
SolidWorks Electrical is preferred
