Responsibilities
Create and configure new Snowflake accounts as needed
Design, implement, and support replication processes to ensure business continuity
Design, implement, and support data-sharing solutions for both inbound and outbound data exchanges
Design, implement, and support role-based access controls (RBAC) to properly secure enterprise data
Monitor cost and performance across Snowflake accounts
Assist application teams with troubleshooting
Implement production application database changes when required
Provide first-level Linux administration support for Snowflake application servers
Experience building in Azure
Solid knowledge of Private DNS zones, Blob Storage (including storage tiers), Private Endpoints, and Private Link as they relate to Snowflake
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Comfort with code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
Qualification
Required
Senior/seasoned DBA with 10 years of experience
Need 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration and support experience (if they have less than 5 years of snowflake experience but have similar experience with Teradata or Oracle and some recent snowflake still send)
Strong understanding of foundational cloud concepts
Experience building in Azure
Solid knowledge of Private DNS zones, Blob Storage (including storage tiers), Private Endpoints, and Private Link as they relate to Snowflake
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Comfort with code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
Experience with first-level Linux administration support for Snowflake application servers
Preferred
Banking or other highly regulated industry is a plus
