Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment)
Build and maintain Appian objects (SAIL UIs, process models, interfaces, records)
Design/develop integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, external services: Entra/Okta/SharePoint/DocuSign/Salesforce)
Create/optimize database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) using MariaDB SQL
Ensure compliance with Appian best practices and governance
Troubleshoot and resolve workflow/application issues (L2/L3 support)
Prepare architecture documentation; participate in peer reviews
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to refine requirements and scalable solutions
Support CI/CD pipeline management and deployment processes
Work with testing teams to validate end-to-end workflow and UI
Qualification
Required
2–7+ years hands-on Appian development
Appian Certified Lead Developer (ACD301) required (Level 3 Lead Certification)
Strong knowledge of Appian architecture, SAIL, process models, integrations, and data sync
Proficient with SQL (MariaDB) and REST APIs
Familiar with Appian best practices, performance tuning, BPM, UI/UX, workflow automation
Experience with Git, DevOps, Agile methodologies, and testing frameworks
Must provide 1 verified manager reference from a credible firm
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
Preferred
Appian Associate/Senior/Lead Developer certifications
Experience with RPA tools (AppianRPA, Selenium, Cucumber)
Knowledge of .NET, Java, Python, or other full-stack languages
Experience in financial services, compliance, or regulated environments
Familiarity with Appian upgrades, data migration, and Process HQ
