Responsibilities
Provides direction, guidance and oversight of services for team members engaged in appraising and underwriting applications for life insurance, assessing mortality and morbidity within company guidelines
Charged with building the expertise of technically competent underwriters, providing co-signs and driving the team to meet service level expectations
The Manager will identify opportunities for profitable growth to achieve a balanced, sound and quality book while protecting company's assets
Be responsible for the team’s ability to meet the company's financial objectives as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements
Responsible for developing and maintaining highly effective business relationships with both internal and external partners in order to attract, develop and retain profitable business for the division
Qualification
Required
6-9 years of cumulative, relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of the field as well as supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
Growing in leadership ability. Develop direct reports by helping to form individual development plans and understanding career goals of each team member
Advancing manager, manages the work of others through leads, unit managers and senior level individual contributors
