Responsibilities
Earn the trust of the executive team, and key functional leaders by consistently delivering reliable, scalable operational performance
Own full accountability for global operations results, including supply chain continuity, cost structure, service levels, quality, and risk management
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations organization, recruiting top talent and instilling a culture of ownership, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement
Develop and execute the global operations strategy required to support the company’s growth targets as set by the CEO and board
Design and optimize end-to-end supply chain strategy, international manufacturing partners, vendor negotiations, capacity planning, and geographic risk diversification
Ensure operational strategy is supported by scalable systems and tools, including ERP, planning, and reporting infrastructure
Continuously reassess operational plans and adjust strategy in real time in response to changes in demand, cost inputs, supply constraints, or expansion opportunities
Manage inbound and outbound logistics across multiple vendors, 3PL partners, Amazon, and cross-border e-commerce providers
Deliver comprehensive logistics reporting and actively manage internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time delivery, vendor compliance, service-level performance, and cost control
Oversee logistics budgets and maintain strategic relationships with domestic and international freight providers, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, Amazon Logistics, Rim Logistics, Hive Logistics, and other carriers
Manage global customs broker relationships to ensure timely clearance of goods while minimizing duties, taxes, and overall landed costs
Lead compliance efforts related to international shipping insurance, import taxes, customs regulations, and duty requirements
Oversee the onboarding, training, and performance management of 3PL distribution partners to ensure adherence to service-level expectations, and support the evaluation and selection of future fulfillment partners in California and other regions
Direct day-to-day distribution operations across 3PL facilities, leveraging real-time data and performance reporting to track KPIs and ensure operational continuity during periods of organizational growth
Qualification
Required
Proven operational leader with 10+ years of experience building, scaling, and leading high-performing operations organizations within consumer product companies
Deep functional expertise across global supply chain, international sourcing and manufacturing (including Asia-based suppliers), demand planning, S&OP, inventory and working capital management, domestic and international logistics, fulfillment, and quality assurance
Senior leadership experience (VP of Operations, Head of Operations, or equivalent) in a rapidly growing consumer brand with revenues exceeding $20 million; demonstrated success scaling operational infrastructure to support growth beyond $100 million preferred
Strong track record of implementing and optimizing ERP and planning systems to enable forecasting accuracy, operational visibility, and scalable execution
Demonstrated ability to drive margin improvement, cost reduction, and service-level performance through disciplined process design and data-driven decision-making
Experience establishing logistics, warehousing infrastructure in Europe and Asia
Experience operating in a PE-backed, founder-led, or board-governed environment, with comfort presenting operational performance, KPIs, and risk mitigation plans to executive leadership and investors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Finance, Economics or Business preferred
