Responsibilities
Maintain accurate data for our proprietary equity investment database
Design to expand and enhance database structure for new data sets
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system and data-related issues as they arise
Serve as a backup for database and web administrative responsibilities, ensuring continuity of operations when needed
Ability to take on both business/systems analyst and implementation responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Enhance and expand internal website functionality using modern web technologies
Collaborate with information security team to identify and remediate software vulnerabilities
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of professional experience is required, with strong preference for the Finance industry
Computer science or data science degree required
Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL) is required
Proficiency in Windows environments, including hands-on experience with Windows servers is required
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, as Boston Partners does not provide visa sponsorship for this role
Position is fully in-office (no remote or hybrid option)
Preferred
Knowledge of investment-related concepts and practices is strongly preferred
Experience working with object-oriented concepts and object-oriented databases is strongly preferred
CFA charter holder or candidate is a plus
Vision-DBMS programming experience is highly valued
Exposure to web and scripting technologies (HTML, XSLT, CSS, XML, Classic ASP, Java, Perl, VBA) preferred
Experience crafting effective AI prompts and a practical understanding of how large language models respond to instructions is a plus
