Funding Coordinator
County of Erie, PA is seeking a Funding Coordinator to provide fiscal support in the field of public health. The role involves managing budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations to support public health programs and services.
Responsibilities
Maintains and manages budgets to support the effective delivery of public health programs and services
Generates and processes invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Coordinates purchasing activities for supplies, equipment, and services required for public health programs
Prepare, send, and organize communications and correspondence
Attend meetings and accurately record minutes, including key discussion points, action items, and decisions made
Ensures compliance with procurement and purchasing policies and procedures
Processes financial transactions in County of Erie Finance Management System
Maintains organized and accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and contracts in accordance with established accounting standards and regulations
Generates financial reports and summaries to provide staff and stakeholders with insights into budgetary performance, expenditure trends, and financial projections
Assists in the administration of grants and funding contracts
Ensures compliance with financial regulations, grant requirements, and internal policies through regular audits and reviews of fiscal records and processes
Identifies opportunities to streamline fiscal processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls to optimize resource utilization
Performs other related work as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years in a fiscal support role in accounting or finance
Must have a Valid Driver's License
Must Provide Own Transportation
Knowledge of public health services
Knowledge of financial and accounting general practices
Ability to analyze financial data and trends
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Ability to maintain a high degree of efficiency and productivity
Ability to problem solve and maintain composure in stressful situations
Ability to prepare and maintain reports, as requested
Ability to utilize or learn financial management software
Ability to utilize spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and other applicable software necessary to perform these duties
