Technical Writer
SureCo is a customer service-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of working Americans through innovative healthcare solutions. They are seeking a Technical Writer to serve as the bridge between product, engineering, and business teams, capturing and documenting knowledge that powers the organization. Responsibilities
Capture and document business processes by collaborating with stakeholders across sales, finance, operations, and customer service to create clear, actionable documentation
Document product features and capabilities as they're shipped by the product and engineering teams, making complex technical concepts accessible to diverse audiences
Own key documentation initiatives such as: ICHRA plan configuration workflows, customer onboarding playbooks, API integration guides, and cross-team process documentation
Create internal product guides that explain how different stakeholders and users interact with our product, including the intention and context behind features
Design and implement information architecture in Notion for our product, engineering, and operations knowledge base—establishing navigation, templates, and governance standards
Maintain information hygiene by regularly pruning outdated content and refreshing documentation to reflect current processes and capabilities
Track documentation effectiveness using metrics like support ticket deflection, usage analytics, and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve content quality
Work closely with product design and engineering teams (including both our US and Bangkok based colleagues) to understand technical implementations and translate them into clear documentation
Partner with US based business stakeholders to understand and document workflows, best practices, and operational procedures
Serve as a documentation advocate, establishing standards and practices that make knowledge sharing seamless across the organization
Coordinate effectively across time zones with our distributed team
Qualification
Required
US-based and authorized to work in the United States
3-5 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a B2B SaaS or business software environment
Skilled at extracting latent knowledge from subject matter experts and translating it into clear, actionable documentation
Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, sales, finance, operations, and customer service
Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
Experience with documentation tools and content management systems (Notion experience is a plus)
Self-directed with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities may shift
Ability to coordinate across time zones and work asynchronously with distributed teams
Preferred
Health insurance, benefits, or healthcare industry background
Understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and related data privacy concerns
Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, insurance)
Experience building and maintaining documentation systems at scale
Familiarity with product development lifecycles and agile methodologies
Background in information architecture or content strategy
