Developing and implementing best practices for quality assurance and risk mitigation
Performing quality assurance reviews
Identifying and mitigating agency risk
Interpreting and applying Teachers’ Retirement Law (TRL) appropriately
Supporting the development, organization, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Service Retirement QA program
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience or ability to handle multiple assignments and work effectively under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff and management
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, draw sound conclusions, and make clear and concise recommendations
Ability to work effectively as a team player and work collaboratively across teams
Ability to take initiative and work independently; reliable and dependable
Proficient in computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as the knowledge and understanding of computer-based information systems for research and analysis
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of or ability to collect, track, and report data
Knowledge of CalSTRS business processes, technical environment, or pension/financial system
Knowledge of risk methodologies
