They are seeking a Mechanical Designer to work closely with stakeholders, using SolidWorks to create and refine designs while also engaging in hands-on prototype assembly and testing.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the engineering team to drive projects from concept through production readiness
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks using GD&T standards
Optimize existing designs to improve manufacturability and reduce costs
Ensure designs meet high standards for quality, reliability, ergonomics, safety, and regulatory compliance
Generate and maintain OEM documentation, including BOMs, specifications, revisions, and testing reports
Assist with prototype testing plans, assemble prototypes, physical test setups, and test equipment operation
Support product launches by aiding in custom tooling design, assembly training, and troubleshooting
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and design tools to continuously improve processes and reduce costs
Support day-to-day operational needs
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of relevant industry experience
Proficient in SolidWorks: model configurations, blocks, sheet metal design, assemblies, drawings, and document templates
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and full ownership of assignments
Growth mindset essential for success in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Effective problem-solver able to work independently and within a team
Clear and professional oral and written communication
Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Comfortable refining and evolving designs collaboratively in real time
Able to perform basic mechanical calculations as needed
Solid mechanical design background with hands-on experience in various fabrication methods, especially sheet metal
Preferred
