Start in 2026 SummerApplied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, and they are seeking a Data Science Analyst Intern for summer 2026. This role will support key strategic initiatives by compiling and analyzing business intelligence data, conducting financial statement analysis, and assisting in the development of a data automation platform.

Responsibilities
Compile, analyze and provide reports on various aspects of business intelligence
Financial Statement Analysis including Revenue, Profitability and Market share Metrics
Calculation and Model Unit Level economics (Nodal Sizing)
Support Team all aspects including drafting written material for review
Play key role in development of data automation platform with latest IT system and Tools
Qualification
Required
Student must be pursuing a Master's degree program in Business Analytics, or a related field or be from Top Tier ungraduated School with major in Finance, Economics or Accounting
Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.3 (4.0 scale)
Strong analytical and Finance skills
Data Science, data Intelligence
Power Bi, Python experience
Business Acumen
Ability to handle large amount of data and combine information from different sources
Strong mathematical and excel modelling skills
Must be detail oriented
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Quick learner
Team player
Preferred
Data management, data analytics experience preferred
Tableau knowledge and data automation is a plus
Finance and Statistical Knowledge is a plus
Technology Knowledge including Software, Hardware and Semis knowledge is a plus
