Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Provide technical leadership and support to the manufacturing team
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in quality, cost, and throughput
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design is optimized for manufacturability and scalability
Provide guidance and expertise in the selection and installation of new equipment and technologies
Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate production interruptions
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the production process
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians to improve their skills and productivity
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
5-7 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in the aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry
Experience with new product introduction
Experience developing process routings, work instructions, and PFMEAs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with team members at all levels of the organization
Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
Compliance with all policies
This position requires use of and access to information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Accordingly, all Process Engineers must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
