Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance to operational teams regarding Freedom of Information legislation and Environmental Information Regulations information requests and support the production of responses within the relevant statutory timeline
Provide timely advice and guidance to staff in relation to all information governance and records management enquiries
Support the review of records management policies including the corporate retention schedule
Qualification
Required
Be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience and knowledge in an information governance capacity
Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of current legislation and policies and procedures relating to Information Governance, Freedom of Information, Environmental Information and Records Management
Have demonstrable experience in the following: Supporting and advising on the development of responses under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Have demonstrable experience in the following: Supporting and advising on the development of data protection impact assessments and responses to information rights requests
Have demonstrable experience in the following: Supporting and advising staff on the management of records
