Responsibilities

Co-lead the development and execution of global, employee-focused communication and content strategies for business-critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities
Co-lead the planning and execution of major global employee meetings and events. Manage editorial coverage and internal communications for key company initiatives and external events such as WEF, RSA, Cisco Live, .conf, GSX etc
Facilitate strategic and tactical communications that drive employee engagement, foster inclusion, and reinforce key messaging across all levels of the organization
Build strong partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align employee engagement with external and executive communications
Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of the Employee Communication Center of Excellence, driving best practices across Cisco
Manage and mentor a team of internal communications specialists, supporting their professional growth, tracking progress on key projects, and fostering operational excellence, speed, and efficiency
Craft compelling, clear, and impactful narratives for a global employee audience. Deliver innovative solutions to engage and inspire employees worldwide
Adapt communications to evolving business needs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, delivering creative and effective strategies
Demonstrate expertise in supporting and communicating with large, geographically dispersed employee populations, maintaining high standards for quality and rigor
Co-lead the strategy for communication tools and standard methodologies, including global employee meetings, SharePoint intranet, email (Outlook, Poppulo), video, graphic design, editorial calendar (Airtable), Slack, Webex, and digital signage
Track and analyze internal communication engagement metrics; recommend improvements based on data
Manage editorial calendars in Airtable
Lead enterprise employee communications strategy and governance, including integrated editorial planning, publishing standards, and shared storytelling frameworks to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across channels and teams
Own and evolve core employee communications platforms and programs, partnering with IT and third parties to deliver scalable tools, trusted sources of truth (e.g., intranet and Bridge), and high-impact editorial vehicles for key company moments

Required

10+ years of experience leading strategic internal communication programs and teams
Proven experience leading communications for a technical function at a mid-to-large company
Strong ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of leadership

Preferred

Experience managing and scaling global communications, events, programs, and processes
Demonstrated success in high-growth environments and organizational change management
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field; graduate degree and/or technology industry experience is a plus
Passion for telling the most exciting technology stories of the decade
