Responsibilities
Perform special inspections of complex developmental and prototype parts and identify causes of non-conformances
Assist engineering in reviewing and developing inspection methods, procedures, and fixturing designs
Perform complex mechanical inspections using geometric and trigonometric methods per specifications
Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical, optical, electrical, and CMM inspection equipment
Qualify molds and dies and maintain accurate inspection records
Conduct vendor quality surveys and support vendor qualification activities
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma plus two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience in precision inspection (senior-level only)
Experience with first article inspection and receiving/incoming inspection
Strong knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5, including True Position concepts
Experience working with ISO standards and 21 CFR Part 820
Experience operating and/or programming a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
