Responsibilities
Apply advanced technical practices to resolve complex issues involving special materials, difficult coordination, or new scientific principles
Develop schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements; monitor progress and expenditures for technical tasks
Provide guidance and assistance to junior professionals and lead functional areas of expertise
Evaluate program results and prepare formal reports and recommendations for management and external publication
Identify and recommend improvements where established technology or methodology is inadequate
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline + 5+ years of experience
Master's Degree (MS) + 8+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree (BS) + 10+ years of experience
Minimum of 10 years in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities
Demonstrated working knowledge of STAAD.Pro
Expert knowledge of National Codes including IBC, AISC (ASD & LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA
Preferred
Proficiency in MicroStation 2D (CADD)
Previous SRS (Savannah River Site) design engineering experience
Active Professional Engineering (PE) License
