Responsibilities
Managing the Application Engineers and providing support in the quotation process by providing technical review and expertise
Developing the AE staff to function as a "best in class" customer interfacing technical sales team
Overseeing the management of large scale projects, including new application launches that require close coordination of cross-functional activity (RFQ to shipment) in order to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives
Managing the workload within the AE Department to ensure optimal levels of service to the customer
Working closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customers to ensure that customer technical requirements for application and special product needs are clearly defined and understood, and within the scope and capability of the company to deliver profitably
Support Sales staff as required for face-to-face customer meetings and negotiations in support of RFQ and order delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
Prior engineering and sales experience required (3-5 years), preferably in the same or related field
Strong mechanical aptitude and sound knowledge in mechanical engineering principles
Demonstrated customer interfacing experience and success
Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, presentation)
Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement
Experience with related rotating or motion control equipment or applications
Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US
Preferred
Prior management experience, in an engineering, sales, and/or manufacturing environment preferred
