Information Technology Architect

Responsibilities
Assist in developing the organization’s information system vision and strategic plans, aligning technology initiatives with business goals
Research and evaluate new systems and technologies through beta testing to determine their suitability for CHRISTUS Health’s environment
Assess proposed system acquisitions, providing critical insights into compatibility, cost, resource needs, and operational impact
Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures across multiple technology domains to ensure consistency and efficiency
Participate in the design and implementation of proactive data collection and reporting processes to monitor system performance
Maintain current knowledge and certifications in various IT domains, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements
Design and model IT infrastructure, conduct capacity planning, and perform performance analysis to optimize system functionality
Provide leadership in architecture design initiatives, guiding teams through complex system development and deployment projects
Ensure that architectures are flexible and support evolving business needs by understanding organizational strategies and infrastructure capabilities
Collaborate with technical teams to develop, enforce, and maintain technical standards and best practices
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate technical discovery, and ensure solutions meet business expectations
Evaluate new system proposals, oversee change management processes, and ensure seamless integration into existing environments
Lead efforts in identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities within projects, demonstrating initiative and strategic thinking
Develop strong relationships with management and technical teams, communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively
Apply advanced knowledge of business operations, workflows, and technology to develop innovative solutions beyond standard practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with complex IT systems within large corporate environments
Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, software development, system administration, or application architecture
Experience in system or application performance modeling and tuning
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred
Preferred certifications include TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
