Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end implementation of Oracle Simphony Inventory Management
Configure:
Inventory items, categories, and units of measure
Recipes, yields, and theoretical usage
Locations (stores, kitchens, warehouses)
Set up inventory valuation methods and costing rules
Integrate Inventory Management with Simphony POS
Map menu items to recipes for auto-depletion
Validate inventory consumption based on sales transactions
Support promotions and modifiers impact on inventory usage
Configure vendors, price lists, and purchasing workflows
Implement purchase order creation, receiving, and invoice matching
Ensure accurate stock updates during goods receipt
Configure and support:
Stock counts and cycle counts
Waste, spoilage, and adjustment tracking
Inter-store and warehouse transfers
Perform variance analysis (theoretical vs actual)
Identify shrinkage and process gaps
Enable and validate inventory reports:
Food cost and beverage cost
Usage and variance reports
Stock aging and valuation
Support data extraction and reporting for finance teams
Assist in month-end inventory reconciliation
Prepare functional test cases and conduct UAT
Support pilot and production go-lives
Train store managers, kitchen staff, and inventory controllers
Create SOPs and user documentation
Provide post-go-live hypercare support
Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and POS sync issues
Recommend process improvements to reduce wastage and food cost
Support upgrades and new feature rollouts
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in Oracle MICROS Simphony Inventory Management
Deep understanding of restaurant inventory operations
Deep understanding of recipe-based inventory control
Deep understanding of food & beverage costing
Experience with multi-location restaurant environments
Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud
Simphony POS ↔ Inventory integration
Basic understanding of APIs / data exports
Reporting and data validation
User roles and security configuration
5+ years in Oracle Simphony or hospitality POS implementations
2+ full lifecycle Simphony Inventory implementations preferred
Experience in restaurant chains, QSR, hotels, or food service
Strong stakeholder communication
Ability to translate business needs into system configuration
Problem-solving and analytical mindset
Training and documentation skills
Preferred
Oracle Hospitality certifications
Experience with ERP integrations (Oracle NetSuite, Oracle EBS, SAP)
Exposure to finance and P&L reporting
Global rollout experience
