Responsibilities
Optimize and stabilize production-grade AWS OpenSearch environments
Tune clusters, queries, indexing strategies, and overall capacity
Design and implement snapshot, restore, and backup strategies
Build, manage, and maintain index templates
Act as the go-to architect for search performance and best practices
Provide architectural guidance while remaining hands-on
Qualification
Required
5+ years working with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch in production
Strong AWS-native background, including managed OpenSearch services
Proven experience delivering search performance optimization
Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes end to end
Clear, confident communication skills in a consulting environment
