Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of healthcare architecture projects, from planning and schematic design through construction administration and closeout
Define project scope, schedules, deliverables, and resource plans while monitoring profitability and quality
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines
Develop and manage project budgets in coordination with internal teams and clients, addressing potential concerns proactively
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, cultivating strong long-term relationships built on trust and transparency
Engage clients throughout the design and construction process by setting expectations, providing updates, and addressing concerns
Represent the firm in project presentations, community engagement, and client meetings
Lead multidisciplinary teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and design excellence
Mentor and support team members by providing guidance and professional development opportunities
Coordinate across project teams and with firm leadership to ensure alignment and successful delivery
Provide strategic input and design direction throughout all phases of the project
Review and approve drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals
Ensure design work complies with applicable codes, healthcare guidelines (including FGI), and client standards
Provide oversight during construction phases, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, conducting site visits, and addressing field conditions
Monitor construction progress and collaborate with contractors to resolve issues while maintaining design intent
Maintain working knowledge of healthcare codes and standards (FGI, ADA, IBC, NFPA)
Conduct regular quality control reviews and implement corrective actions as needed to uphold design integrity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience managing multiple architectural or construction projects simultaneously
Minimum 7 years of architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare projects
Strong knowledge of healthcare design codes and regulations (FGI Guidelines, ADA, IBC)
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; project management software experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving abilities
