Responsibilities
Performing Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI) and Magnetic Particle (MPI) inspections on engine components
Conducting Ultrasonic (UT) and Eddy Current (ET) inspections when incorporated into the maintenance programme
Reviewing work instructions and overhaul manuals to determine correct test methods and acceptance criteria
Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing
Identifying, interpreting and marking discontinuities in accordance with approved data
Accepting or rejecting parts based on inspection results and defined criteria
Creating sub-routers for repair and re-inspection cycles where required
Completing all required inspection paperwork and maintaining accurate logbook records
Supporting production schedules by prioritising inspection flow
Training and mentoring other personnel in NDT processes where required
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years' NDT experience in an aerospace or engine MRO environment
Level II certification in MT and PT
Strong understanding of overhaul manuals, technical publications and inspection criteria
Ability to interpret inspection data and make sound airworthiness decisions
Experience working to FAA regulations (AS9100 / ISO 9001 knowledge preferred)
Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be a US Person (US citizen or lawful permanent resident)
