Nuclear Hardness & Survivability Engineer III/IV

The Nuclear Hardness and Survivability Analyst will support the analysis of flight vehicles' ability to withstand nuclear effects and will work as part of a multidisciplinary design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program.

Responsibilities

Perform radiation hardening analysis for component (WCCA, PBO, SGEMP, MCNP etc.)
Conduct shielding effectiveness analysis for enclosures
Develop testing and qualification plans for systems
Develop test procedures, oversee tests and write test reports
Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Science or related technical field
5+ years' experience with Nuclear Effects Analysis
Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to document analysis methodology and results
Excellent communication skills are required, as position requires the description/documentation of analysis techniques and results using a variety of tools (PowerPoint, Word)
Active security clearance required, eligibility for SAP clearance is required
Up to 10% of travel may be required
