Responsibilities
Design, Develop and implement data governance frameworks to regulate data movement across interconnected systems
Establish and enforce enterprise-wide data standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance
Identify and resolve data quality issues, master data inconsistencies, and standardization gaps
Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify bottlenecks
Tune and optimize the worst-performing SQL queries to enhance system efficiency
Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal database design and implementation
Design and develop archiving and purging scripts aligned with enterprise data retention policies
Execute large-scale data purging initiatives (e.g., 18-year-old data) to improve system performance and storage utilization
Maintain compliance with audit, security, and legal requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of professional experience in software development
Strong proficiency in ETL & Reporting Tools, Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 etc
Proficiency in tuning and optimizing SQL queries to enhance system efficiency
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
