Responsibilities
Perform physical, mechanical, and performance testing on products and components using standardized test methods
Interpret and apply industry testing standards to ensure product compliance and safety
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring instruments are performing within specification
Record, analyze, and report on test results with high accuracy and traceability
Serve as the technical expert on testing protocols, equipment preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Merchant, Quality, and Sourcing teams to align on testing needs
Support documentation for audits, product certifications, and internal quality reviews
Uphold lab safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in lab operations
Qualification
Required
Associate or bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, etc.)
3–5 years of hands-on experience in product or material testing labs
Experience applying industry standards in a QA or compliance setting
Strong working knowledge of lab equipment operation, calibration, and troubleshooting
Ability to interpret test specifications and document detailed, technical test results
Preferred
Experience working in consumer product compliance, furniture, general merchandise, or similar industries
Familiarity with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS), SharePoint, or digital QA tools
Exposure to third-party certification processes or internal audit support
