SoTalent is a national trade association representing the life insurance sector, seeking a senior, relationship-driven executive to lead its member relations strategy. This role involves executive-level engagement with member organizations and delivering strategic insights into membership dynamics to senior leadership and the Board.

Responsibilities

Lead integration, engagement, and relationship management for member organizations, serving as a senior point of contact for executive stakeholders
Develop and execute an association-wide member relations strategy aligned with organizational goals
Oversee committee governance processes, ensuring diverse, representative, and effective participation
Manage membership analytics and provide actionable insights on engagement trends and member dynamics
Collaborate closely with Compliance and other internal teams to ensure coordinated, consistent member communications
Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve member experience, governance effectiveness, and operational performance
Provide strategic input to executive leadership and Board members on membership-related matters
Manage and develop a team of 2–8 staff members, depending on experience and structure

Required

Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of senior experience in member relations, association management, public policy, or a related field

willingness to travel occasionally as required

Preferred

advanced degree or CAE
familiarity with the life insurance or financial services sector
proficiency with association management systems (iMIS preferred)
