Industrial Electrician
Steven Douglas Corp (SDC) designs and builds custom, automated machines for various applications and industries. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for machine wiring and electrical assembly according to specifications, collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot and solve challenges while maintaining safety practices.

Responsibilities
Build and wire custom machines based on engineering documentation
Panel building and wiring
Primarily electrical but some mechanical and pneumatic assembly may also be required
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, sketches, and specifications for electrical installations
Plan layouts and install electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment in control cabinets
Tasks include mounting, fastening, drilling & taping, placing, leveling, plumbing pneumatics and/or other tube and pipe-based systems
Actively work with the project team to de-bug, troubleshoot and solve machine challenges
Support machine building process through acceptance testing, up to and including potential on-site customer installations and start-up support
Assist with a variety of other duties as requested, including packing out-going equipment, & crating and packaging outgoing machinery
Maintain diligent workplace safety practices and cleanliness
Qualification
Required
Strong industrial electrical knowledge
Strategic thinking and troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
Ability to read and interpret pneumatic schematics and electrical wiring diagrams
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and operate lift trucks and overhead cranes
Ability to work overtime, as needed
Ability to travel up to 10% of time
Preferred
A strong mechanical background is preferred
