Responsibilities
Perform systems engineering activities for payload systems, including requirements management, design analysis, and documentation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, and cyber-security engineers to develop technical solutions
Manage requirements traceability between capability improvements, design documents, and systems engineering toolsets with minimal supervision
Participate in design reviews, communicate technical solutions to development teams, and support agile sprint planning and execution
Resolve technical issues, ensure system design and non-functional requirements are properly addressed, and conduct research spikes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred
3-5 years of systems engineering experience in defense or complex system development
Proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, Jama) and systems modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo)
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and mapping requirements to software implementation
Working knowledge of Agile or SCRUM methodologies with experience supporting development teams
Familiarity with payload systems, naval systems, or defense applications
