Learning Designer

Responsibilities
Produce high-quality software simulation deliverables, including eLearning scripts, learning simulations, video assets, assessments, job aids, and classroom training guides, ensuring they meet client needs and organizational standards. Adhere to stringent development processes with a strong attention to detail and complete adherence to established processes
Apply knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles to assigned content development projects. Apply these principles to interactions with stakeholders, to ensure that content aligns to quality and process expectations
Develop knowledge of one or more specific product venues to provide expertise for the internal team and external stakeholders
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to drive conversations to expected outcomes. Build and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align learning solutions with project goals. Ensure stakeholder satisfaction and successful training outcomes
Leverage experience with eLearning Development tools to capture, edit, and develop learning simulations. Demonstrate a knowledge of these tools and the ability to grow and adapt to the specific processes used by the team
Prepare environment, with information such as simulated patient records, for capturing standard end-user workflows in a simulated client software environment, with supplemental guidance from subject-matter experts
Manage projects through the standard development cycle adhering to an established process including Jira, an established project plan, and other project management tools
Create workflow scripts that align to Oracle standard writing style guidelines and established departmental processes
Continually expand understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles to provide operational efficiency to add value to the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Healthcare, Communications, or related field (or equivalent relevant work experience)
At least four years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including at least two years of learning/adult education work experience, including Instructional Design, Education, Healthcare, Communications, or related field
At least two years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
Proficiency in developing eLearning materials and supporting assets
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design practices
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of standard Microsoft tools, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred
Experience in Healthcare and/or Healthcare IT
Utilization of various eLearning development tools, such as Adobe Captivate and TechSmith Snagit
Understanding of how to use analytics and AI-driven insights to inform design
Familiarity with AI-powered authoring tools (e.g., adaptive learning platforms, content generation tools)

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
