Responsibilities
Assists in the coordination of the organization's safety program by monitoring compliance and scheduling training
Continuously update safety policies and procedures as instructed by the Manager and as appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance
Oversees and ensures accident and incident reporting procedures are followed on time
Conducts inspections of company vehicles and equipment, both on and off-premise. Ensures certifications for equipment operators are maintained
Assists in the development and administration of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies
Assists with emergency preparedness plans for use in the event of an active shooter or natural disaster such as a tornado or fire
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Three to five years of experience in safety and/or risk management
2 to 5 years of relevant safety and telecommunications experience
OSHA, CPR, and First Aid Certifications
Must have a valid Class C Texas driver's license
If relocating to Texas from another state or country, must have a valid driver's license equivalent to a Texas Class C and obtain a Texas license within 30 days
Must maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under HCTC's standard auto insurance policy
Preferred
An associate's degree in a closely related field
