Registered Nurse (RN) Internal Float Pool

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Internal Float Pool will deliver individualized patient care, monitor patient conditions, educate families, and engage in quality improvement initiatives while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly
Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge
Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum
Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance
Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities
Qualification
Required
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
1 year experience inpatient
