Responsibilities

Acts as a key liaison between Undergraduate Admissions, Central Enrollment, and one of the academic colleges to enhance engagement with regional high schools, CCP instructors, and prospective students
Plans and coordinates invitations for on-campus, online, and regional yield events
Leverages data to provide timely, relevant information that supports prospective and admitted students in their decision-making
Collaborates with recruitment officers to address student needs and develop strategic outreach plans that expand the university’s presence, foster student engagement, and promote UToledo’s brand
Leads efforts to share compelling student and faculty stories by partnering with Marketing and Communications
Supports initiatives that encourage UToledo undergraduates to pursue graduate and professional degrees at the university
Ensures alignment on academic programs, procedures, and co-curricular activities by working closely with enrollment management staff, academic advisors, associate/assistant deans, and other key offices

Required

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Communication, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in college admissions, recruiting, or advising required
Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills
Ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations through strong, student-centered recruitment strategies
Must demonstrate commitment to being student- and consumer-centered, with a willingness to help them achieve their educational goals
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
This position requires the ability to travel to remote locations and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment
Regular evening and weekend hours required
Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance

Preferred

Minimum of two (2) years' work experience in college admissions or recruiting
Graduate of The University of Toledo
Preference given to candidates with STEM experience
Previous experience working directly with non-traditional learners
Basic familiarity with e-mail systems, constituent relationship management such as Slate by Technolutions, Transferology®, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software tools
