Maintenance Technician - Process Controls
Adecco is seeking a Maintenance – Process Control Technician who plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of manufacturing operations. The position involves hands-on work with advanced process control systems, troubleshooting, calibrations, and supporting manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Install, maintain, calibrate, program, and repair process control equipment and systems
Support manufacturing operations including papermaking, converting, material handling, compressors, motors, valves, and piping systems
Perform preventative maintenance, respond to trouble calls, and support plant projects related to process control systems
Calibrate instrumentation and maintain accurate ISO calibration records and system documentation
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, DCS, drives, instrumentation, and low-voltage control wiring
Assist with automation and controls projects from concept through completion under the guidance of Project Leads
Manage the Process Control work order backlog in Asset Essentials, including PM schedules and documentation
Collaborate effectively with maintenance trades, engineers, supervisors, contractors, and operations teams
Maintain tools, inventory, and a clean, organized work area
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and best practices
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to operational emergencies
Qualification
Required

New hires must be able to join the night call list within 6 months
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and initiative
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer and documentation skills
Competency in math and technical problem-solving
Understanding of low-voltage control wiring and multimeter use
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley AC Drives
Ability to mentor and support Maintenance Technician I employees
In-field repair of process control systems (air, stock, and process water)
Understanding of papermaking process control systems
Assist with programming and modification of control logic
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Safely use hand, power, and machine tools
Assist in programming and maintaining Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
Assist in programming and maintaining Wonderware InTouch systems
Understanding of hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, and mechanical principles
Familiarity with control equipment such as valves, motors, flow meters, dryers, PLCs, DCS, ISRA inspection systems, and instrumentation
Knowledge of hoisting and rigging practices
Understanding of fire protection systems and applicable safety codes
Trade school certificate, High School Diploma, or equivalent
1–2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Willingness and ability to advance to Maintenance Technician III and beyond
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 250 lbs with assistance
Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in physically demanding environments
Ability to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, and access tight or elevated spaces
Good vision, depth perception, and focus
Must meet Mativ certification requirements to operate powered industrial trucks
Required use of PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
