Sheetfed Press Operator

They are seeking a Sheetfed Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain sheetfed printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Press Setup & Operation
Prepare press for production by installing plates, adjusting feed guides, and loading paper stock
Mix and adjust inks to meet color specifications
Set and monitor registration, color balance, ink density, and print quality throughout the run
Quality Control
Conduct regular press checks to ensure output meets customer and company standards
Troubleshoot print defects, paper issues, or mechanical problems quickly to minimize downtime
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor mechanical adjustments
Follow all safety protocols for chemical handling, lock-out/tag-out, and equipment operation
Documentation & Communication
Record production data such as run times, materials used, and waste
Coordinate with prepress, finishing, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow
Qualification
Required
2–5 years operating a multi-color sheetfed press (e.g., Heidelberg, Komori, or similar)
Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, color theory, and press mechanics
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, proofs, and color standards
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a fast-paced production environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Attention to detail and quality
Time management and reliability
Teamwork and communication
Commitment to workplace safety
