Responsibilities
Manage components of complex IT projects and program initiatives
Follow established project management methodologies and governance processes
Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and timelines
Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues
Create and maintain project documentation including:
Project schedules
Risk and issue logs
Communication plans
Stakeholder registers
Coordinate with vendors to track deliverables and ensure timely completion
Serve as a point of contact for vendor-related project activities and issue resolution
Work with business units to gather and document requirements
Facilitate meetings with internal teams, external partners, and vendors
Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure project scope, schedule, and resources are managed effectively
Support project closeout activities, including acceptance and documentation
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience managing large and complex IT projects
7+ years of experience with IT SDLC processes
7+ years of experience creating and maintaining project documentation
7+ years of experience identifying and managing project risks and issues
7+ years of experience presenting project status to leadership
7+ years of experience gathering requirements from business teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience facilitating meetings with cross-functional teams
Experience coordinating with third-party vendors on system delivery
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience working with State of Texas agencies
PMP and/or CBAP certification
Agile or Scrum experience
Experience with enterprise system implementation or integration projects
